Default IWAY, dead, or just not as effective?

OK, my last post inidicated I'd beat the game 4 times, and as such, my days of PvE are pretty much done til the expansion, so I want to try PVP.

Most people at the tombs etc, are rather elite (or so they say), and getting into a PVP group is almost impossible.

I figured the best way was to set up as an IWAY warrior. Just my luck, as my warrior caps Eviscerate, the 3rd March build goes and spams IWAY, or so I'm told.

So, the question is, is IWAY dead, or is it still going in a slightly less effective form.

If it is dead, any ideas on a build a PvP noob can get into a group with. Preferably at tombs.

My chars are Monk, Ranger, Warrior and Necro.

You could always do it the other way around R/W with Iway and use Incendary arrow with a pet.

The build is still effective to a point, just swap Order of the Vampire for Marytr or something of that like.

People say that IWAY is dead because of Order necro's not being able to work properly. Back in he day when I was an Order necro (And not fully understanding the Order build) I didnt stack up on enchants. I used Order of Pain and that was it. The rest was basic healing, attacks skills. And, even though I didnt do it properly the group still made it through fight after fight.

But, I guess if you try this now people will call you a newb for not knowing the build right :P But, if they did go with you there is no reason why IWAY wouldnt work. Ive always said a full Warrior team can crush an apponent before they have a time to kill you

I'm sorry to contradict you, but I have seen, first hand, a team of IWAY warriors, that seemed to have quite a bit of experience(or at least in the way that they bragged), get completely blown out by a team of necros.
Beating iway is pretty simple, once you get the idea(not gonna say it due to the fact ppl will be mad at me ).

Agreed, the only thing that really changed in the IWAY build is the nerfing of OoV. However, spamming OoP is still a viable alternative, and the freedom of an extra elite slot - Martyr, Mark of Protection - might even be a blessing in disguise for IWAY'ers (who doesn't wish they had MoP for that last second before the edgebomb goes off in halls )

Hm, i ran an iway today and made it to the hall......wierd. and no we did not skip there, 6 wins to get there. There are still plenty of good orders builds out there, the one i run uses OoP as the only dmg skill. Iway is in no way shape or form dead, you just need people who konw how to run it. I used to be one of those people who said "iway is a no skill assclown build" but after i played it a little bit more, it does take skill, and unless you are with people who understand that you will get nowhere.

btw my group was r9, ive tried the r3, r6 groups and they did not even come close.

experience ftw D:
